Introduction to Underage Sales Prevention Course (QCF)

Course Description

The Introduction to Underage Sales Prevention Course is of 2 hours 30 minutes duration and has been designed to provide an interesting and interactive introduction to the subject of Underage Sales Prevention.

Whilst, the course does not lead to the award of a Level 2 qualification it does provide those attending with the information and training to enable them to carry out their duties with regard to the prevention of Underage Sales. As such this course is ideal for those who are time constrained and cannot commit to the full-day Level 2 course.

During the course students will be introduced to a number of subjects, including Legislation, the importance of the prevention of underage sales, how to prevent the sale of age-restricted products, the legal penalties for employers, employees and customers, which apply to the unlawful sale and purchase of age-restricted products and the procedures for challenging for proof of age documentation.

Course Duration

The course lasts 2hours 30 minutes and concludes with candidates sitting a theory based assessment.

Course Syllabus

A range of subjects are covered including:

  • Legislation
  • Reasons why the law restricts the sale of certain products
  • Which products are age-restricted by law
  • How to prevent the sale of age-restricted products
  • Procedures for challenging for proof of age documentation
  • Refusing the sale of age-restricted products
  • How to manage conflict arising out of challenges and refusals
  • The benefits of recording admission and sales refusals

The course has been designed to allow it to be tailored to meet the needs of the client and we are always happy to discuss how we can meet your exact requirements.

Assessment Method

Students are required to undertake and successfully complete a 15-question multiple-choice question paper examination. The duration of the examination is 30 minutes. Successful learners must achieve a score of 10 out of 15.

Certification

Subject to successful assessment, all students will receive a Certificate of Attendance and Completion.

Numbers

A maximum of twenty (20) students can be accommodated on this course.

Course Fees

The On-Site cost of this course, per student, is £25.00 (Inc VAT).

The minimum number of students required for an “In-House” course is 6. Smaller groups can be catered for but the cost will be as per 6 students.

Location

We are able to deliver this course at your site, thus reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and traveling.
