Fire Warden Training

Course Description

This interactive and comprehensive course has been designed to assist employers in meeting their legal obligations under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The course provides the necessary knowledge to enable those personnel who successfully complete it to carry out the duties of a Fire Warden in a professional and competent manner. The course is suitable for Managers, Supervisors, Fire Wardens requiring refresher training or any member of staff who has a specific responsibility towards Fire Safety.

The cost of the course includes Course Materials, Training Manual and Certificate.

Course Duration

The course is delivered over 3½ hours and is theoretical in nature.

Course Syllabus

A range of subjects are covered including:

  • Fire Legislation
  • Common Causes of Fire
  • Nature of Fire and Chemistry of Combustion
  • Fire Alarms
  • Fire Prevention
  • Routine Fire Inspections and Maintenance of a Fire Log
  • Role and Duties of a Fire Warden
  • Actions on the Outbreak of a Fire
  • Use of Fire Extinguishers
  • Emergency Evacuation procedures
  • Safety Features Within Buildings
  • Assessment & Certification

Assessment is by means of a 15 question multiple-choice question paper. Candidates are required to gain a score of 10 correct answers.

Numbers

A maximum of twenty students can be accommodated on this course and it is recommended that each participant is aged 18 years or above.

Location

We are able to deliver this course at your location, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises, reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and traveling.
